Bumper Pool is played by two players or by four players as partners. Each side has five
red balls or five white balls, one of each color being a marked cue ball. At the center of
each of two opposite ends is a pocket for the balls to bounce into. The Bumper Pool table
sports eight or more rubber covered knobs projecting from the board. |
Each pocket is flanked by a knob on
each side and the remaining ones are arranged in a pattern in the center of the table. The
bumpers interfere with the motion of the balls and make the game more unpredictable.
The object is to shoot balls into your opponents pocket, knock an opposing ball into an
inconvenient corner or to block your own pocket against your opponent. The first player to
pocket all his balls is the winner. This game includes: cue stick, five red balls, five
blue balls and chalk. |
