A Guide to Creating A Fun Family Friendly Atmosphere For Your Next Corporate Event!

Creating fun environments for families has always been its own unique challenge. How do you design an event that can be fun for both adults and children? Should you do a carnival theme; should you have a movie night; or should you do a classic arcade video night? These are all great questions.

Below are a few questions you should ask yourself when booking entertainment for your next family fun night!

How Do I Entertain Adults And Kids Together?

Entertainers! Entertainers are always a great idea when planning an event. You can book different types of entertainers based on the theme of your event.

If your having a carnival, you can book jugglers or fire breathers. You can book comedy magicians to do short shows throughout the night. Who doesn’t love magic?

What About Food?

When planning family friendly events the best idea is to always KISS or Keep It Simple. Foods like chicken tenders, sliders and kabobs are always a better idea. This gives both adults and kids something they love to eat. You can even gamify the food stations by adding a theme to them. For example, if you are doing a retro arcade.

What About The Layout?

A common theme among event planners is to separate the adults from the kids. But this isn’t always the best idea. By doing this you require more staff for supervision and more area. However, by creating a gaming area where adults and kids can go, sit back and have fun is a better idea. Consider placing high top tables in the mix in addition to some cell phone charging stations for when the parents need to recharge their phones. Also make sure there is a bar somewhere in the game zone, so your guests don’t have to go to far.
