A recent study has come out showing that events in 2015 will become all about the immersive experience. The event will need to be more “personal,pervasive, touchable, overwhelming and unforgettable by using technology to drench all the participants in an immersive experience” according to the event industry trends report. The overwhelming theme though in the report was that attendees want to be engaged. This means that sponsors have to change how they interact with the attendees. The most immersive experience someone can have is one in which they become an active part of what they are doing. When it comes to receptions that means more than just a dj or band. That means having games or experiences people can interact with.
